FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

ALLIED ARTISTS INTERNATIONAL, INC. is the corporate parent and successor-in-interest of the nearly 100 year old ALLIED ARTISTS, who’s REPUTATION for being an artist-friendly home for filmmakers and musicians alike, is legendary.

Monogram Pictures began life in Hollywood in 1920 with the release of the silent film ‘Sophy of Kravonia,’ also known as ‘The Virgin of Paris,’ settling into the Monogram Pictures Studios in 1932, then using the lot’s east side entrance address of 1425 Fleming Street (now Hoover Street). The above photo was taken from the north side of the lot on Sunset Drive, before Commonwealth Avenue was closed between Sunset Drive and Sunset Boulevard, enabling the studio to erect front and back gates to prevent thru traffic and control public access. Once fully expanded west, the lot bordered Sunset Boulevard, permitting management to use the famous 4401 Sunset Boulevard address.  After producing a number of financially successful, low-budget films – predominantly westerns – Monogram Pictures, widely referred to at the time as ‘King of the B’s,’ decided to launch their ‘A’ film studio counterpart; indeed, it would be a ‘double A’ studio, giving rise to the Allied Artists Pictures name.  Allied Artists Pictures soon became the reigning brand, relegating Monogram Pictures to a subsidiary of its own spawn! By 1966, Allied Artists Studios was literally ‘on the map,’ which can be viewed by CLICKING HERE.

I need sheet music/lyrics to one of your artist's songs. Can Allied Artists to send them to me?

Hey Allied Artists! I'm an incredible artist and you should sign me today. Where do I send a demo?
Allied Artists Music Group is one of the few labels left that accepts demos. Most of our competitors require artists to submit through a manager, publisher, agent or music attorney. That's just downright unfriendly as far as we're concerned, so we struck a deal with our attorneys to permit new artists to sign a submission agreement and either provide us with a link to your material or upload MP3's. As long as you electronically sign our demo submission agreement, we'll review your music. After all, you're a musician and talent is the life-blood of the music business. How can we find diamonds in the rough if we don't listen to new talent? Feel free to submit your demo using our ARTISTS SUBMISSION FORM.
I wrote a screenplay, produced a movie or just have a great motion picture idea I want you to make into a movie. How do I bring it to your attention?
Allied Artists Film Group has adopted the same portfolio submission policies as its music group counterpart. Therefore, you don't need a manager, publisher, agent or entertainment attorney to get you in the front door. You too can submit any portion of your portfolio by using our ARTISTS SUBMISSION FORM.
How can I find Official Fan Club Information?
If you would like to write to your favorite artist, and fan club info is not on the album package or on the artist's site, then please send a letter to the artist's attention, in care of Allied Artists Music Group:
